GOG is giving away Beautiful Desolation for free. The offer is being made as part of GOG’s Summer Sale, which is running until June 27. Claiming the offer will give you a DRM-free version of Beautiful Desolation to download and keep forever. The offer will remain available for 72 hours, ending on Monday, June 20 at 9 AM ET.
Beautiful Desolation is an isometric adventure game developed by The Brotherhood. The developer previously worked on sci-fi, horror point-and-click games Stasis and Cayne Beautiful Desolation is its most recent work, having been released in early 2020. It has ‘Mostly Positive’ reviews on Steam, and a metascore of 76. So it definitely seems like a game worth trying out if you’re a fan of the genres.
As part of its Summer Sale, GOG has been giving away several games. It started out with Sanitarium, then Venetica – Gold Edition, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, and now Beautiful Desolation. This isn’t the last game though, as there is another giveaway happening on June 20. The Summer Sale page also claims that there is “more to come,” so additional giveaways are possible.

In addition to giving away games like Beautiful Desolation, the GOG Summer Sale also offers some great deals. There are a lot of games on sale, so it’s worth looking through yourself to see if anything stands out. Although there are a few deals that are worth recommending.

These are all excellent indie games that offer some of the best gameplay found in their respective genres. Also, they all have at least ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam and a Metascore of 80 or higher. At such affordable prices, all six are worth picking up.
