MSI Immerse Streaming Mic debuts alongside TKL and Full-size RGB keyboards

Companies are announcing tons of new products at this year’s CES 2022, and MSI has just shared news about two new keyboards and a studio mic coming to retail soon. The MSI Immerse GV60 is the company’s first dedicated studio mic for streaming and video content creation. In addition to that, we learned a few details about the upcoming Vigor GK71 Sonic full-size RGB gaming keyboard and the Vigor GK50 TKL RGB model as well.

As MSI’s first studio mic designed specifically for streaming and the like, the Immerse GV60 has some tough competition to dethrone. Streaming is only getting bigger, however, so perhaps there’s still plenty of available ‘pie’ to slice up. The GV60 is defined by features like its high-resolution sample rate of 24bit/96kHz, versatile pickup patterns, real-time monitoring, and plug and play design. And in case you were wondering, it comes in a matte black finish.

MSI hasn’t released the full tech specs yet, but it did include a few other mentions in the press release. The microphone will also sport a 3.5mm output headphone jack for zero latency playback to help you gauge audio and voice quality. Additionally, it comes with standard thread mounts for boom arms and a 3-meter cable to accommodate any setup.

Moar boards

MSI is one of those companies that seems to dip its fingers into everything, keyboards included. The Vigor GK71 seems to be somewhat of a successor or perhaps a new iteration of the existing GK70. The switches appear to be one of the major selling points for this model. MSI partnered with switch maker Kailh to offer up the MSI Sonic Red linear switches that feature a mere 35-grams of actuation force, making these switches very easy to press. It sounds like something competitive players will definitely be interested in, as most keyboards feature around 55-grams by comparison. Additionally, the board features MSI ClearCaps for the RGB, media controls, a memory foam wrist rest, FN command functionality, and more.

As for the MSI Vigor GK50 TKL, this keyboard is designed for transport and competition. As the name suggests, it features a compact form factor plus low profile switches to make things easy on your wrists while also saving space. The press release notes that it comes with a detachable USB-C to A cord, a travel bag, plenty of FN commands, and Kaihl clicky switches.

We still have questions about the full technical specs, but it looks like MSI is making some appreciable strides in the peripherals space. However, competition is fierce right now. We’ll need word on pricing, availability, and the full features before we can consider these among the best gaming keyboards.
